Privacy information

The portal can be used without a user account, registration or newsletter. We do not operate our own contact form. If you contact us, this is done through the stated email or telephone contact details.

We currently use no Google Analytics, Google AdSense, embedded social-media plugins or our own personalised advertising or profiling technology.

Ordinary calculators can be used without permanently storing their detailed entries. My move, the moving planner and planning results that you expressly save or carry over use local browser storage on your device. There is no user account and no cloud synchronisation.

External CHECK24 comparisons are not loaded merely when a page is opened. The required connection and data transfer are established only after your active permission and start of the relevant comparison.

Amazon pages, scripts, iframes or Amazon-provided product images are not loaded merely by opening our equipment page. A connection to Amazon is established only when you click a labelled affiliate link.

The website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When the website is accessed, the web server processes technically required connection and log data, including the requested page or file, date and time, transferred data volume, referrer, browser and operating-system information and the IP address. The purpose is secure, stable and technically reliable delivery of the website. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

STRATO states that visitors' non-anonymised IP addresses are retained for no more than seven days for detecting and defending against attacks. Where STRATO processes personal data on our behalf, this is based on a data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR.

We do not use a contact form. If you contact us by email or telephone, we process the contact details you provide, the content of your message or enquiry and the metadata and communications data required to handle it. The mailbox kontakt@transportervermietung.de is technically provided through STRATO.

Where your enquiry concerns a contract or pre-contractual measures, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Other enquiries are processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the proper handling of incoming enquiries. We erase enquiry data when they are no longer required for handling the matter, unless statutory retention obligations or legitimate evidentiary interests require longer retention.

We use browser Local Storage for local planning, save and continue-later functions. These include in particular My move and the moving planner. In the moving planner, the current planning state is saved locally automatically while you use it so that you can continue your progress on the same device and in the same browser. Detailed box-planner entries are stored persistently only when you expressly save or carry the plan into My move. The rental-conditions finder stores answers only when you expressly choose to save/continue. The offer check does not maintain its own persistent storage of entries. We do not store a separate CHECK24 search history; when a comparison is actively started, planning-relevant location and date information may be stored locally in My move.

These local planning data are not transmitted to our server merely by being stored. To the extent storage or access is strictly necessary for a local planning, save or continue function expressly used by the user, we rely on section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG without an additional consent step. Detailed entries in ordinary calculators are not stored persistently merely because an input field is changed. You can remove saved planning data using available delete functions or your browser's site-data controls. Local browser storage is not a backup and is not automatically transferred to other devices or browsers.

When you actively open an available print/PDF view, the content required for that view is passed temporarily through browser Session Storage under the key “transporter-print-view-v1”. This temporary storage is used solely to create the print view you requested within the same browser session; it is not persistent planning storage or advertising tracking.

We also store your privacy-settings choice locally in this browser. It records whether you allowed the optional CHECK24 integration. This storage is necessary so that we can respect your choice on later page views. The choice is requested again after no more than 180 days and can be changed or withdrawn at any time using the Privacy settings link in the footer.

The website is delivered over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections. Appropriate technical and organisational security measures are used for operation, with hosting-related security measures additionally provided by STRATO.

The portal does not use a service worker and does not create its own offline page cache in the browser's Cache Storage. The website remains a normal static online application; local planning is continued only through the local planning, save and continue functions described above.

A comparison from the CHECK24.net partner programme can be started on the home page, comparison page and below the rental-cost calculator. The external comparison is provided by TARIF CHECK24 GmbH, Zollstraße 11b, 21465 Wentorf bei Hamburg, Germany.

The CHECK24 comparison is not loaded merely by opening our page. External CHECK24 advertising tools are blocked by default. You can allow CHECK24 through Allow all or the CHECK24 toggle in the privacy settings. If CHECK24 has not yet been allowed, consent can be given directly at the comparison through the clearly labelled Give consent for CHECK24 & start search button. Only after permission and the active search start is the external comparison loaded. The entries required for the requested comparison – in particular pick-up and return location, date, time and, where applicable, age information – are then passed to CHECK24. Technical connection and device information, referrer, affiliate and interaction data may also be processed, and CHECK24 may use its own cookies, Local Storage or similar technologies after the active start. Consent can be withdrawn at any time for the future through the privacy settings. Our legal basis for the transfer initiated by us is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR; CHECK24's own privacy and consent rules apply to subsequent processing and device storage.

Moving inventory, calculated load volume, estimated weight and your own cost estimates are not transferred to CHECK24 merely because you use our calculators.

Portal-native input forms are placed in front of the CHECK24 comparisons on the Moving services pages. Merely opening those pages does not start a CHECK24 comparison. External CHECK24 advertising tools remain blocked until active permission and the comparison start. Only then is the relevant CHECK24 tool loaded and the details intended for the comparison passed for pre-filling.

For electricity this primarily includes postcode and annual consumption or a selected household value, for gas postcode and annual consumption or a selected living-space value, and for DSL/Internet the five-digit postcode, street and house number. Technical connection, device, referrer, affiliate and interaction data may also be processed after the active start. Our legal basis for the transfer initiated by us is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. CHECK24's own privacy and consent rules apply to the subsequent availability check, comparison and possible provider switch.

When a clearly marked partner comparison is started, affiliate attribution and placement information may be transferred to CHECK24 so that qualifying transactions can be attributed and remunerated within the CHECK24.net partner programme. The commercial nature is identified at the relevant comparison.

Our equipment page contains clearly labelled affiliate links to Amazon.de. Merely opening our website does not cause an Amazon page, Amazon script, Amazon iframe or Amazon-provided product image to be loaded through these links.

Only when you actively click a clearly labelled Amazon link do you leave Transportervermietung.de and your browser establishes a connection to Amazon. The partner link contains our Amazon Associate tracking ID and technical link parameters so that a subsequent qualifying purchase can be attributed to our partner account. Once Amazon is opened, Amazon may process connection and device information and data relating to use of the Amazon website under its own privacy and cookie rules.

Amazon is responsible for subsequent processing under the rules applicable there. Further information can be found in the Amazon.de privacy notice. The commercial nature of each Amazon link is identified immediately at the relevant link.

Locally stored planning data remain on your device until you remove them using the relevant function or your browser controls. The local privacy choice is requested again after no more than 180 days. Hosting log data are processed for the periods described above. Contact enquiries are erased after they have been handled unless statutory retention obligations or legitimate evidentiary interests require longer storage. After an active transfer to CHECK24, CHECK24 determines further retention under its own privacy information. After an active click on an Amazon affiliate link, Amazon's privacy and cookie rules govern further retention there.

Depending on the feature used, recipients may include STRATO as hosting and email processor and, after a comparison is actively started, TARIF CHECK24 GmbH and providers integrated in the CHECK24 flow. When an Amazon affiliate link is actively clicked, Amazon is opened as an external service; Amazon's privacy information applies to subsequent processing. The portal does not otherwise disclose data unless required by law.

Where the statutory conditions are met, you have rights including access (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction (Article 18), data portability (Article 20) and objection to processing based on Article 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR (Article 21). Consent can be withdrawn at any time for the future under Article 7(3) GDPR. Privacy requests can be sent to kontakt@transportervermietung.de.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. For the Berlin-based operator, the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, is in particular competent. Email: mailbox@datenschutz-berlin.de.

You do not have to provide us with additional personal information merely to browse the portal. If you want to start a CHECK24 comparison, the fields marked as required in the relevant search form are necessary to perform the requested external comparison or availability check. Without those details, the respective comparison cannot meaningfully be started. Clicking an Amazon affiliate link is voluntary and is not required to use the portal's planning or calculator functions.
